Guild Behavior:

Guild members should be respectful of their fellow players at all times. Please remember that your interactions with other guild members and players reflect not only on you but on your guild leaders and on each of your fellow guild members. We expect you to conduct yourself in a way that would befit a mature adult, even if you aren't one yet.

Whenever possible, participate with the other members of the guild. This can be on vent, in guild chat, or by spending time adventuring or questing together.

Please don't beg. This applies to the general channels, mail, and guild chat. This reflects poorly on our guild and can also cause other guild members to avoid you. If you need help with a quest or an item, feel free to ask, but repeated spamming of requests is unacceptable.

Don't expect upper level players to complete content for you. If you aren't yet able to contribute to a party on a quest, please level before you ask for help completing the quest. No, going along for the loot is not acceptable if you are not invited to participate. Clearly, this is not intended to apply to groups formed with the express intent of bringing along a member too low to be helpful.

Please remember that this is a game and that it should be fun for all of us. If at any time your actions or requests may be lessening the fun for other members we ask that you place yourselves in the other members' shoes and think of their feelings. Usually, simply being aware of how others feel is enough to alter our course and spare hard feelings all around.

Items should be offered to guild members as frequently as possible before they are sold to a vendor or put up on the auction house. Wherever reasonable, these items should be offered at no charge, or at a discount from the current auction house rate. Items of Rare or higher classes often demand high values and we understand that the price to guild members will sometimes reflect that.

The guild should not be your sole source for common trade items such as herbs, leathers, cloths, etc. Please be considerate of your fellow guildmates and respectful of the time it takes for them to gather these when requesting them.

Patterns, Formulas, Schematics or Recipe's should never be sold if a guild member of the appropriate profession doesn't have them yet. Once they have the pattern they will be able to provide these items to you for free or for the cost of the materials. This works to everyone’s advantage. Remember we want to make our money off the other players, not from guild members.

Be respectful of other guild members. Everyone has to start at level one and work their way up. An appropriate combination of Solo and Party play will make you into the best player. If no one is available to party with you, find a place to adventure on your own.

Get to know the Code of Conduct so that you can share it with other guild members as appropriate.

Recruiting:

Please engage players who you see as a potential fit for our guild at any time that you come across them be it while questing, pugging or sitting in town. Remember that we want only the highest quality of players and ones that will meld well into our family guild. If you meet someone who you believe fits the bill please keep the following recruiting guidelines in mind.

1) Each new member will need to be sponsored by a vassal, patron or guild leader or two (2) members of knight rank or above. The sponsoring members will want to get to know the person and party with them to get a feel for how they will fit into the guild. This step may be skipped if you are requesting an invitation for a real life friend or a family member.

2) Patrons and Vassals can invite prospective members to the guild. For the next two weeks they will be at initiate status. We will then post an item in a new initiate feedback forum asking for the input of the membership. If the feedback is good, they will be promoted to serf and become a permanent member of the guild. If not, their trial period may be extended, or they may be removed from the guild.

3) The prospective new member will need to read our charter and code of conduct, and sign up for the forums. Forum participation is an important part of the guild and we like to see active participation there.

While a guild member is at the rank of Squire or below, the sponsors are accountable for their actions in the guild. Repeated issues with a guild members recruits could be cause for demotion.

Typically new guild members would be level 10 or above. This gives you enough time to get to know the individual to make sure that they are a good fit for the guild. Alts of new members may be invited to the guild once they are past the initiate stage.

Guild/General Chat:

Please make an effort to always try to communicate clearly in guild or general chat. While established abbreviations may be used, please do not go overboard with l337 speak or ALL CAPS.

Remember that all of your actions are a reflection on the other members of the guild as well as on you.

Please be mindful of the audience in guild chat and keep swearing and adult humor to a minimum. Younger members are encouraged to enable the language filter available in the chat options. Please also remember this rule in general chat channels so as not to reflect poorly upon the guild.

If you are having an issue with another guild member, please handle it in private chat as opposed to the guild chat channel. If you need assistance Zelec may be available to help you mediate the issue, however we strongly encourage you to work it out amongst yourselves. If the issue persists and causes noticeable problems within the guild we will make a decision to ask one or more members of the conflict to leave the guild, making sure that we are acting in the best interests of the guild as a whole.

Looting:

We suggest using group loot for any groups of five or less. All members of the group should be encouraged to roll greed on any item that is Bind on Equip. If it is an upgrade to your current gear it is recommended that you mention in party chat or on vent your intention to roll need on the item. We do this out of courtesy to others who might want to roll need. For items that are Bind on Pickup please roll only if the loot is an upgrade for you, otherwise please pass. If everyone passes the group can decide to greed roll to vendor it, or to disenchant if an enchanter is available. Group consensus can determine what happens to any enchanting mats received (greed roll individually or as a lot or send to the guild bank).

For groups larger than five people, we recommend the same approach for Bind on Equip items, but suggest that Master Loot be used for boss items or items of rare quality and above. The helps to minimize the risk of loot issues.

Always keep your fellow guild members in mind when rolling. A marginal upgrade for you might be a huge upgrade for one of your guild mates, and strengthing your guildmates makes the overall guild stronger.

Our goal is to keep loot as a fun part of the experience, not a source of conflict.
